Health care workers need to ensure that they are working in line with the equality and human rights framework implemented by their organisation in order to avoid being discriminative.
The Health care sector is made up of an increasingly diverse society and need to be able to respond sensitively and in an appropriate manner to all concerns. Workers need to understand individual or group difference, treat people as individuals and create a fairer society. Eliminating discrimination and prejudice will help the healthcare sector deliver accessible, fair and healthier services. This course provides an understanding of diversity in our workplace environment and explains how our own attitudes, values and actions can have an impact on others.
